MUSIC DIRECTOR JOB DESCRIPTION

This part-time position would require approximately 4-6 hours per week. Applicants should have a strong faith in Jesus, be familiar with contemporary and traditional Christian music, and proficient in keyboard skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct weekly choir rehearsals (as necessary).
• Direct choir anthems twice per month during worship.
• Secure special music musicians for Sundays the choir does not sing.
• Provide music for special services during Holy Week and Advent as needed.
• Assist Pastor in the selection of weekly hymns and contemporary pieces as needed.
• Work closely with the Pastor to develop special services including Easter and Christmas.
• Work with the children's choir for special performances or secure another to do so.
• Be willing to spiritually lead and groups she/he directs.

Compensation:

$10,000 - $12,000 annually
